The Internet was abuzz with activity last week over the discovery of several fall pilots that had been leaked online, mostly on torrent file sharing sites. The networks got their panties in a twist about it, despite the likelihood that they’re behind the whole thing in the first place. (You can tell something’s up by the fact that every last one of the networks refused to comment on the situation.)
One of these shows, though, is Weeds, whose third season debuts on Showtime in just six days. Yesterday, Weeds creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan told the media she doesn’t have a problem with her work being out there in the Internet ether. “I’m excited it’s out there,” she said. “Showtime is great, but it does have a limited audience.”
For those of you who are craving a legal sneak peek of the season premiere, Showtime is offering a first look to fans through its Showtime Insider newsletter. Just go to the Weeds homepage and click on ‘Watch Weeds Now.’
