Sorkin on the fall of ‘Studio 60’

In Uncategorized on July 17, 2007 at 11:09 am

In a must-read in today’s LA Times, Aaron Sorkin discusses the failure of Studio 60, and steps up to accept at least some of the blame.

“I don’t know how to emphasize this enough that I’m not disappointed or upset with anyone but myself. There are only two possible reasons for ‘Studio 60’ failing — it was either my fault or it was just one of those things. On some shows, you can make mistakes and still survive. But with this one, I made too many mistakes for it to survive.”

True to form, he goes on to blame the media and the culture as well, but Patrick Goldstein’s article is an even-handed and well-written examination of at least a part of the Studio 60 story.
