FALL ’07 | Local station preview: WAAY

In ABC, Live with Regis and Kelly, Syndication on September 9, 2007 at 1:54 pm

Our Huntsville market fall preview continues with ABC affiliate WAAY 31 (all times Central; subject to change; check local listings outside Huntsville).

A 20th season of Live with Regis & Kelly airs weekdays at 9 a.m.

But the big changes are in the afternoons. The Steve Wilkos Show, hosted by Jerry Springer’s former muscle, will air weekdays at 3 p.m. beginning tomorrow.

And there’s a new court show in town. Judge David Young will preside over back-to-back half hours at 4 p.m. weekdays beginning tomorrow, Sept. 10. His claim to fame was jailing two airline pilots for attempting to fly while intoxicated. He’s also TV’s first openly gay small claims court judge. Cases on the docket for the first week include stolen and sold pets and “formerly estranged lovers bickering over porn.”

WAAY’s late night block of celebrity gossip and entertainment shows appears to remain intact. Access Hollywood, Extra and The Insider will continue to air weeknights beginning at 12:30 a.m. replaces a 2 a.m. repeat of Entertainment Tonight, which will continue to air weeknights at 6:30 p.m.
