BB8 | After Dark Update (7/27; contains spoilers)

In Big Brother: After Dark, ShoToo on July 27, 2007 at 10:02 pm
  • Dustin is head of household
  • The nomination ceremony took place today
  • Lots of tension between dick and Amber
  • Nick, Dick, Kail, Jen, and Zach are on slop…

Currently, Amber is giving Eric a rubdown while they converse with Jameka.

UPDATED | Seven of the houseguests appear to have teamed up to evict the other four over the next month. The four targets are this week’s nominees, Kail and Jen, as well as Nick and Zach. It seems like a solid plan, and the seven of them (Dustin, Eric, Dick, Daniele, Jameka, Jessica and Amber) all give the impression that they’re committed to this plan. Which begs the question: how long can this last?

GREY’S | Shonda Rhimes on Isaiah Washington

In Grey's Anatomy, Isaiah Washington, Private Practice, Shonda Rhimes on July 27, 2007 at 1:23 am

TV Guide has the blow-by-blow between critics and Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes. The writer and executive producer of Grey’s and Private Practice finally broke her silence about Isaiah Washington’s controversial firing after a press tour session.

Rhimes says she was included in and agreed with the decision to let Washington go, and that she felt it was the best thing for the show.

One of her quotes in particular confirms what I suspected at the height of what’s been called Isaiahgate:

I wrote the season-ender exactly as I planned to write the season-ender. What’s kind of amazing is the season-ender finished the story of Preston Burke that really paid tribute to that character and the talent of Isaiah Washington in a way that made sense. But also went exactly where our show was planning to go anyway.

It’s been an interesting week in the Big Brother house. Here are tonight’s headlines from ShoToo:

  • Mike was evicted tonight by a vote of 7 to 2
  • Eric and Zach were the only votes against Kail
  • Dustin won today’s head of household competition
  • Tomorrow is the food competition…

It’s been a lot of the Dustin Show on After Dark tonight, with much of the action taking place in one-on-one chats with other houseguests in Dustin’s new HOH room.
